Welcome to the Catamarans Team
Dear Student and Family:

Welcome to the Catamarans Team. We are looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year. Because the transition from sixth grade to seventh grade can be challenging, we assure you we will do our best to make it seamless and enjoyable. As a team, we would like to share some basic information with you so that you know what is expected throughout the school year.

Students are expected to come to class prepared daily, ready to learn, ask questions as they arise, and advocate for themselves as learners. Homework is a critical component to your child’s success, because it provides your daughter or son with an extended opportunity to independently practice a concept or skill introduced in the classroom. Please be sure to visit our webpage daily (under “staff profile”) where you will find homework posted and other important announcements. Our school’s website is: www.westerly.k12.ri.us. To find grades, please log into Skyward.

The following items are strongly recommended to benefit your child’s academic learning and success:

Subject Supplies
English Language Arts Pencils, highlighters, a 3-ring binder, loose-leaf paper, dividers, a homework folder, and a silent reading book
Mathematics Pencils, erasers, a 3-ring binder, and loose-leaf paper
Science Pencils, erasers, a single-subject notebook, and a homework folder
Social Studies Pencils, a single-subject notebook, a homework folder, and colored pencils

As part of our district initiative, we expect our students to be respectful, be responsible, and be safe. We have found that these practices lead to increased productivity and learning.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Crisafulli, Resource
Ms. Frio-Hamel, Science
Mr. Manfredi, Social Studies
Dr. Stroud, Mathematics
Mr. Tsiakiris, English/Language Arts
